After last year’s successful exploratory trip, we are excited to announce that Wild Botswana! is back in 2025 and here to stay! In fact, the demand for this trip has been so overwhelming (the first departure for next year sold out in five days) that we will run two safaris next year. So, what’s the excitement about?
Wild Botswana! is not your typical game lodge tour. This journey is an active, unpredictable, and deeply rewarding expedition, perfect for those who crave a true adventure in the heart of Africa.
We will push deep into the heart of the Okavango Delta by motorboat, moving with the river’s flow and winding through channels that few people ever see. We will journey from lush wetlands to the Delta’s farthest edges, where waters give way to savannahs and woodlands. Along the way, you will encounter some of Africa’s most iconic wildlife up close – from elephants to big cats and a vibrant array of bird species (over 400 to spot, if you are up for the challenge!). Each day brings new landscapes and wildlife as we explore the Delta’s hidden corners by boat, foot, and even helicopter.

Our accommodations are as varied as our experiences. From a houseboat on the Panhandle to tents on beaches or secluded islands, to luxurious permanent camps, each stay is designed to bring you closer to the wilderness. Our mobile camps will give you an authentic, off-the-grid experience in the heart of the Delta. Here, you can fish for your dinner, gather around the campfire, and fall asleep to the sounds of the African night.
This trip isn’t for everyone – it’s designed for those who are ready to face the elements, from midday heat to cool evenings, and for those who are willing to climb in and out of boats, perhaps wade through water, and walk through the bush. But for those who embrace the journey, the rewards are exceptional.
The grand finale is in a luxury private camp in the Khwai Moremi ecosystem, one of Botswana’s most wildlife-rich areas. Here, we will go on game drives in search of elusive African Hunting Dogs, lions, and leopards among many other weird and wonderful species. It’s the perfect end to an unforgettable safari.
